The fully Hungarian-owned Jász-Plasztik Ltd. in Jászberény, E Hungary has carried out a HUF 10 billion capacity expansion development. Over a third of the invested amount is covered by Hungarian taxpayers through the government’s Large Enterprise Investment Support Program.
Jász-Plasztik Ltd. employs around 6,000 people at home and abroad, with production in six factories in two countries.
The main activities of Jász-Plasztik Ltd. are plastics processing, toolmaking, battery production, other manufacturing, trading and service activities. The company currently recovers thousands of tons of plastic and battery waste for recycling.
Lajos Kasza, Jr., owner and commercial director of Jász-Plasztik Ltd., said that the small company, founded in 1990, has grown into a group of companies employing 6,000 people. He pointed out that the company is trying to adapt to the market, and during the epidemic, for example, they started producing face shields, hand and surface disinfectants. They put great emphasis on recycling waste and pay attention to retaining their workforce, he said.
János Kasza, the owner-manager, told the state news agency MTI that the investment included the construction of a plant in Jászberény, Jászapáti and Nagyréde, the creation of a solar park in Jászberény, and the development of production lines and the purchase of equipment.
According to public company data, Jász-Plasztik Ltd. had net sales of HUF 180.052 billion in 2021 and HUF 159.406 billion in 2020. The company's profit after tax was HUF 14.277 billion last year and HUF 18.685 billion a year earlier.
