The 36th Annual General Meeting of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Hungary) has elected Ákos Janza, MSCI's Global Head of AI and HR Transformation and Office Operations, as its President, the organization has told MTI.
Ákos Janza will take over from Zoltán Szabó, Head of Sales and Customer Service Experience at Deutsche Telekom TSI Hungary.
Veronika Spanarova, Country Director of Citi Hungary, will fill the position of First Vice President. The membership voted László Kónya, Managing Director of Telekom TSI Hungary, as the Chamber's second Vice President.
It was announced that five more new members were elected to the Board of Directors during the renewal: Edit Bencsik, Head of Marketing and Government Relations at Tata Consultancy Services, Gabriella Fodor, Managing Director of Lexmark, Dániel Mayer, Managing Director and Head of Risk Management at Morgan Stanley Hungary Analytics, Mónika Pais, Managing Director of Diageo, and Krisztina Ujhelyi, Head of Medtronic Capital & Spine.
The new Chairman of the Supervisory Board is Michael Carlson, who succeeds Andrea Jádi-Németh, Managing Director of bpv Jádi Németh Attorneys at Law.
AmCham is a politically independent non-profit organization of more than 300 members, representing the business interests of its US, international and Hungarian member companies, and since its founding in 1989, has sought to contribute to improving Hungary's competitiveness.
