DEKRA's Revenue in Hungary Could Grow by up to 5%

According to preliminary data, the net sales of DEKRA Group's Hungarian subsidiaries last year amounted to HUF 11 billion and the profit after tax was HUF 230 million, while this year's sales are expected to increase by 4-5%, the company said at a press conference in Budapest on Tuesday.

The export turnover of the group's four Hungarian subsidiaries (DEKRA TIC Ltd., DEKRA Expert Ltd., DEKRA Arbeit Magyarország Kft., DEKRA Technology & Services Ltd.) accounted for more than half of the turnover last year, at HUF 5.7 billion, they said.

The global company highlighted Hungary in its newly published report, where it has made significant progress in digital solutions, industrial testing and training.

János Halász, Managing Director of DEKRA Technology & Services Ltd., said that in the near future, they plan to focus on further sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) training, battery energy storage and solar farm testing in Hungary.

Zsolt Kurucsó, managing director of DEKRA TIC Ltd, said that DEKRA's global revenue in 2024 increased by 4.7% compared to 2023, to EUR 4.29 billion (HUF 175.7 billion), with a significant share of revenue from the German, Swiss and Austrian regions. DEKRA's global organization is present in more than 60 countries with 48,000 employees.

He said there are high hopes for DEKRA's unique quick test, which allows the condition of electric car batteries to be assessed without the need for a workshop environment, in a test or trial run lasting just 15 minutes.

Founded in 1925, DEKRA first tested vehicles exclusively for road safety, and now automates and digitizes industrial installations, certifies the sustainability of products and organizes training courses.
