Diligent to Establish R&D Center in Budapest

The American Diligent Corporation is bringing its new global R&D center to Budapest. The investment worth over EUR 31 million is said to create more than 300 high added value jobs.

The company is a market leader among SaaS (software as a service) providers. This service assists managers in the public and private sector, as well as many other leaders, in efficiently controlling and monitoring the various processes and in enabling effective information exchange.

The company, which can boast with a global clientele of over 19,000 customers, is present in cosmopolitan cities such as London, Frankfurt, Paris and Madrid. The group is a service provider to half of the companies listed in Fortune 1000 and caters for the needs of 70% of the FTSE (Financial Times Stock Exchange) 100 companies, across 90 countries.

In its center in Budapest more than 300 colleagues (all with high level education) will be working on software development, ERP platform development, IT services and IT support in the field of quality assurance, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency reports.

With the SaaS software service users can access cloud-based applications via the Internet to take advantage of their features. Applications are practically licensed to parties that request the service on a subscription basis, while users can connect to the app on the Internet, mostly through a browser.
