The private healthcare services group Doktor24 Medicina Plc. expects a turnover of HUF 16 billion this year, compared to HUF 14.5 billion in 2023, the company said after founding owners János Kóka and Róbert Lancz bought out financial investors and decided to make improvements.
It currently employs around 1,100 staff and contributors, including 700 doctors and specialists, and conducts more than half a million doctor-patient encounters a year. It operates 11 operating theaters, 70 hospital beds and 120 outpatient care and diagnostic clinics in eight hospitals and clinics nationwide, the company said.
In connection with the transaction, the owners have reviewed the company and made important decisions. They have decided to expand the Multiklinika in Buda and their center on Váci út, to purchase new diagnostic equipment and to launch additional specialties in both surgical and outpatient areas. Following an overhaul of the Kastélypark Clinic in Tata, home of Doktor24's publicly-funded orthopaedic center, they decided to renovate and upgrade it.
Doktor24 intends to further increase its market share in the coming years through new hospital developments and acquisitions.
The company opened its Buda-based central hospital, Multiklinika, in 2021 with an investment of more than HUF 3 billion, but has also been actively expanding in the countryside in recent years. In September 2021, Doktor24 and Union Vienna Insurance Group Plc.'s joint subsidiary, First Private Health Network Plc acquired the health center Life Egészségcentrum, the leading private healthcare provider in Székesfehérvár and the Central Transdanubian region. In January 2022, the health service provider Da Vinci Egészségügyi Szolgáltató Ltd. of Pécs was acquired by the Group, In June, the market-leading healthcare provider of the Southern Great Plain region, MediTeam Plc.
