Italian-owned electronic manufacturing services company DTI Hungary plans to expand production at its base in Zalaegerszeg (W Hungary) and raise headcount, the city's mayor said after a walkthrough and talks with management.
DTI Hungary will enhance its cooperation with the ZalaZONE vehicle testing grounds, the city's industrial park and local educational institutions, he said.
The new plant has resulted in more modern working conditions, greater production capacity, and the creation of new jobs; as a result, the company currently employs 60 people.
A new chapter in the company’s development began in 2024, when DTI joined the CEME Group, one of the industry’s leading players. As a result, it became the global innovation and technology development hub of the international corporate group.
In the coming period, in addition to further expanding electronics and cable manufacturing, the company plans to establish production of micropumps, valves, complete assemblies, and subsystems in Zalaegerszeg. The goal is to create a center of excellence that develops and manufactures not only electronic components but also complete systems.
The company’s management expects to create 100 new jobs in Zalaegerszeg over the next few years. In addition, they plan to further strengthen their collaboration with the Zala ZONE Automotive Test Track, the Northern Industrial Park, local educational institutions, and stakeholders in research, innovation, and technical training, the mayor noted. According to publicly available company data, DTI Hungary reported revenue of EUR 1.343 million and a profit of EUR 14,000 last year, compared to revenue of EUR 1.209 million and a loss of EUR 240,000 in 2024.
