Dunaföldvár Metal Processing (Dufém) Ltd. is building a manufacturing and warehouse facility with an investment of 240 million forints, supported by a 50% grant from the EU’s Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program Plus.
The 820-square-meter building will be completed in October 2027, Managing Director István Klopcsik said. Together with the current facility, the plant’s total area will be 1,800 square meters.
The 33-employee company, which specializes in cutting rolled, galvanized, or aluminum sheets, will also purchase a 25-metric-ton bridge crane, a drum scale and a slitting machine as part of the project.
The expansion is being carried out because the current infrastructure is no longer capable of meeting customer demand. The new facility will significantly increase warehouse capacity, allowing for larger stockpiles of raw materials and finished products, which is particularly important for reliably serving partners in the automotive and steel industries, according to a description of the project on the government’s grant portal.
The company – which processes approximately 10,000 metric tons of sheet metal annually – generated 1.6 billion forints in net revenue in 2025 and expects to reach approximately HUF 1.8 billion this year. Following the expansion, revenue is expected to grow by at least 20%, the managing director said.
He added that they are confident that, thanks to the investment, they will establish relationships with new companies, receive more orders, and be able to make better use of their existing workforce.
