The Netherlands-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce (DUTCHAM) has taken over the Presidency of the Permanent Commission of EU Member States in Hungary (EU Chambers) in the framework of a casual networking event of the EU Chambers at the Marriott Hotel Budapest.
Since its establishment in 1994, the EU Chambers has been dedicated to enhancing the legal, institutional, and business landscape for companies from other EU member states operating in Hungary. EU Chambers actively foster investment and trade between Hungary and other EU countries and organize collaborative events.
As part of the rotating presidency among the chambers, this event on Wednesday evening served as a pivotal moment for DUTCHAM as it assumed the presidency.
In his speech at the gathering, DUTCHAM Chair Maurice Janssen (pictured in the middle) thanked the Italian Chamber of Commerce “for their outstanding work and dedication over the past year.” He pointed out that “across borders and sectors, European chambers of commerce play a critical role in shaping resilient economies, fostering sustainable growth, and supporting businesses of all sizes. Together, we are building bridges, not just between markets, but between people, cultures, and ideas. I encourage you to take full advantage of the opportunities ahead. In light of this all, the Dutch Hungarian Chamber will make their organized events available to all the chambers at member rates for the duration of our chair.”
