Following its success in the hospitality industry, Bibo Franchise Ltd. aims to strengthen its position in the consumer market with its bio-based and chemical-free products that support sustainable operations; the innovative company has already taken its first steps toward international expansion.
The 100% Hungarian-owned company was founded 15 years ago by András Juhász who is also the company’s CEO. He told MTI that his goal was to develop solutions that would allow the hospitality sector to operate sustainably with a low environmental footprint.
Bibo Franchise develops and manufactures sustainable cleaning products and currently serves more than 2,200 hospitality establishments. Until now, their products have been available in online stores, eco-shops, and on the shelves of major retailers – such as Auchan, Metro and Müller – and they are now working to involve additional chains to strengthen their presence in the consumer market.
Over the years, the company has steadily increased its production of eco-friendly cleaning products, with a monthly capacity of 750,000 kilograms. Currently, retail sales account for 20% of sales for their cleaning products, while the business sector represents 80%.
András Juhász explained that over the years, the company has expanded its operations to include the production of 100% biodegradable bioplastic packaging, and in 2019, the company became the first in the world to launch its own fully biodegradable refill packaging for bio-cleaning products.
