WLP and RaktárAD, a Belgian-Hungarian-owned company group known for building state of the art warehouses in Europe, launched its third investment in Hungary in Vecsés in 2023. The Canadian-based Magna International Incorporation as a client occupies the largest area in the group's environmentally friendly logistics park.
The automotive parts supplier, which is present in almost 30 countries around the world, based on modern operating principles and prioritizing sustainability as well, has found a common denominator and an ideal partner in the WLP-RaktárAD group. RaktárAD and Weerts Logistics Park (WLP), a Belgian-Hungarian owned company group, has entered into the next phase of its investment in Vecsés, just southeast of Budapest with the topping-out ceremony.
WLP is building a 40,000 m2 logistics and production plant for its large-scale customer, which is the world’s 4th largest suppliers in the automotive space. This will be implemented along the strictest systems of requirements, which guarantee the peace of mind of the residents of the area, according to a company statement.
"Next year, Hungary will make great strides in the European market in terms of industrial developments, to which the Weerts group must respond with due actions. On our part, we have delivered, and that is the Magna project,” Tibor Lőrincz-Hadnagy, Operations Manager at Had-Consult Ltd. points out.
The investment has an excellent logistics location, being located in the industrial park next to exit 37 of the M0 highway in Vecsés, directly bordering district XVIII of Budapest and Gyál. The Liszt Ferenc International Airport in Budapest is merely 11 minutes away.
"As a real estate developer, in the past eight years we have built nearly 202,000 square meters of real estate in our country together with the Weerts Group, through which we have created more than 900 jobs and hosted many domestic companies. This property is not just an ordinary investment. This is an example of how change and innovation are always possible when a dedicated team of experts work together perceptive of the needs of the market. A team that was able to see in due time the statue in a piece of rock. In the beginning, we planned to build a logistics warehouse, but the circumstances and the needs of our customers changed. During the investment, we made a significant profile change when our esteemed client, Magna International Incorporation, an automotive parts manufacturing multinational company, expressed its interest in our project for the first time. The manufacturer's needs and our flexibility successfully found common ground,” Ernő Hadnagy, Co-Founder of RaktárAD and Had Consult Ltd. highlights.
