Finland’s Wolt could become a success story and a global brand, according to Lukasz Gadowski, the co-founder of Delivery Hero, one of the largest online food ordering networks in the world, which also owns the Hungarian food delivery firm Netpincér.
The German-Polish venture capital entrepreneur invests EUR 7.5 million in Wolt, which is present in 23 countries and more than 100 cities around the world, including seven in Hungary.
Founded six years ago in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, Wolt has a total of 500,000 registered users. The company has recently set foot in the German food ordering market where one of the unavoidable players is Delivery Hero, which acquired the also German Foodpanda in 2016, and thus became the owner of Netpibcér.
Lukasz Gadowski is an internet entrepreneur and investor. "I invest in Wolt because they offer a high quality delivery service, they have the opportunity to become a global brand, and I want to contribute to their success, I want to help the team achieve its long-term goals," he said.
