In partnership with Business Consulting & Media and its Hungarian branch, Mediarey Kft., Forbes’ latest local-language edition, Forbes Hungary will be published as of November 2013. They do not seem to believe in the decline of the printed press.
The content of Forbes Hungary will consist of 60% Hungarian business news, commentary and features, and 40% editorial content from Forbes U.S. The Hungary edition will be published monthly.
The Managing Director of Business Consulting & Media, Erik Conrad, said they were proud to expand Forbes magazine further in the region and “bring this prestigious brand with its high-quality and exclusive journalistic content to another market in central Europe.”
Business Consulting & Media also publishes Forbes Slovakia and Forbes Czech Republic monthly, which launched in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
As Forbes President of Worldwide Development Miguel Forbes stated, “we are very excited about launching Forbes in Hungary. This continues our rapid expansion into Eastern Europe, which has become a very important strategic footprint for Forbes.”
Márton Galambos, an experienced business journalist who previously worked as business editor and managing editor at Origo, the biggest news portal in Hungary, has been appointed Editor in Chief of Forbes Hungary.
