A business services center (BSC) to employ 150 people marks the beginning of a new chapter in the 20-year history of leading European pet product retailer Fressnapf’s Hungarian presence. The investment involves a training scheme of some EUR 884,000 to enhance skills of newly recruited staff.
German-owned Fressnapf has been a household name with local pet owners for two decades now in Hungary as the Group has over 50 stores all over the country. A European market leader in pet products, the company was founded in 1990 in Germany, and it is present in 11 countries on the continent.
The Hungarian operation, Fressnapf-Hungária Ltd. is now taken to the next level, given that the company has announced to open a new business services center in Budapest. Fressnapf International Business Services is to provide a wide range of services such as Finance & Accounting, HR, payroll, procurement and Master Data Management in English, German and French languages. A call center is also planned.
The new unit will employ up to 150 mostly white-collar workers who can look forward to intensive training. An office space of 1,000 sqm is envisaged to support the operation of the Group. Launch date is scheduled for October 2022, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency reports.
