Gorenje Magyarország Ltd. achieved net sales of HUF 41.4 billion and a taxable profit of HUF 302 million in 2024, increasing its sales by 10% compared to the previous year, said Norbert Füle, managing director, at the company's press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.

The Hungarian division of the Slovenian Gorenje Group expects sales of HUF 46.2 billion in 2025, which is expected to increase their market share by approximately 5-6%, added the managing director of the household appliance manufacturer.

According to the company, Gorenje, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and its current owner, China's Hisense Electric, one of the few companies offering products in all categories of home appliances, is the market leader in Hungary in the large household appliance segment. At the same time, they have also achieved outstanding results in the small household appliances and television sectors, with Hisense becoming the third largest player in the Hungarian market in the latter category with 32% growth.

Norbert Füle said that China's Hisense Electric is present in 160 countries and on six continents. In Europe, Hisense Electric sold 650,000 products in 12 product categories in 2024 and was the market leader in the refrigeration, television, and cooking categories. Manufacturing takes place mainly in Slovenia and China, with sales only in Hungary.

MDA product manager Gábor Nagy explained that the most important goal of the Gorenje brand at present is to digitize household appliances and make them controllable by phone, thereby making everyday life easier.

"Our goal is to continue to set the pace in design, sustainability, and technology in the coming decade," Norbert Füle said.
