Tube packaging manufacturer Hoffmann Neopac is doubling its toothpaste tube production capacity in Debrecen. Under the project, two new production lines will be installed, which represent a unique technology manufactured by the company's own patent.
With the help of this technology, the company manufactures toothpaste tubes for its premium dental customers as their exclusive supplier. By the investment, Neopac's toothpaste tube production capacity will gradually increase from 180 million to 360 million tubes per year. The products are made for export in 100%. The overall value of the investment is more than EUR 18 million. 20% of the investment cost is covered by Hungarian taxpayers through a government decision. Thanks to the development, 25 new jobs will be created, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency reports.
Hoffmann Neopac is a globally active Swiss family enterprise. As a leading provider of packaging, they produce high-quality tubes for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and dental industries, as well as decorative metal tins for tobacco, confectionery, and various other food and non-food sectors. The company's plants are located in the Netherlands, Hungary, Switzerland, the United States and in India.
The tubes from a well-known premium dental product range are produced in the factory in Debrecen. During the investment, two new production lines will be installed next to the already existing two automated high-speed lines, thus doubling the current capacity to provide 360 million products per year to key customers in the future. The 4 production lines will produce nearly 1,000 products per minute in a continuous shift, almost 24/7.
Neopac has already successfully launched the first production line under the investment. The second production line is scheduled to be started by the company in early 2022.
