The exhibition Hoventa 2010 opens with new elements and the whole spectrum of the hotel and restaurant sector.

This year, Hungexpo involves spectacular new elements and offers new themes to the visitors – Witteg special focus to the hotel sector and the organization of events. The spectrum of food industry and gastronomy events – to which UKBA and Foodapest belonged before – and thus, the most important domestic fairs of the industry in the hands of the same organize.

This year's new theme is the design of hotels and restaurants, including the HVAC and lighting, as well. Exhibitors line up the latest interior design solutions, including special emphasis on the bathrooms presented by the Trend Island of the National Association of Interior Decorators.

Accompanying programs organized by the professional partners that are expected to be  successful such as the Bols bar mixer show presented at the Welcome desk and the Future Gastro stand that shows the catering techniques of the future. Wines will be placed on separate islands, where it will be possible to taste wines.

An entire day is devoted to Hoventa’s modern, energy-saving, cost-efficient solutions (Energy Day, October 22, Friday), and to a public catering conference organized for experts in this field (Catering Managers’ Day, October 19, Tuesday)

The accompanying program of the prestigious four-day event includes the main rehearsal – for the world championship – of the top teams of the Hungarian National Gastronomic Association and the Junior Confectioner of the Year competition (both daily) and the Confectioner of the Year competition (Thursday). These latter two take place to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the creation of the Hungarian drum cake. Thursday will also see the final of the concierge contest organized by the National Hotel Association of Hungary and also in the Golden Key Association.

There will also be parallel events taking place. The Business Travel Show is from Wednesday to Friday in, where the protagonists are hotels, restaurants, hospitality and convention venues offering business tourism opportunities.

Tied to the exhibition is the Event Expo on October 20 and 21, an event that presents the full spectrum of products and services required for the successful implementation of different events, from promotion souvenirs, through communication agencies to sound and light equipment. In 2010, in focus are the green events, i.e. events with techniques and methods required for the lowest possible burden on the environment.

The location of Hoventa is pavilion ‘A’ at the Budapest Fair Center, while the two accompanying exhibition - the Business Travel Show and Event Expo – are in pavilions ‘G’ and ‘F’.
