The value of new leases in Hungary rose 7% to HUF 1,037 billion in 2025, the head of the Hungarian Leasing Association has said in a statement.
The number of new contracts edged up 1% to 85,166.
Vehicle leases accounted for HUF 607 billion of the total contract value. The value of farm machinery leases reached HUF 93 billion.
The whole leasing portfolio increased 5.6% to HUF 2,508 billion, while contract numbers inched down 1% to 315,656.
Hungary's 12% leasing market penetration rate is well under the 28% European Union average.
