Hungary PMI Steady Over 51 Points in July

Hungary's seasonally-adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) stood at 51.4 points in July, slipping from 51.6 in the previous month, the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (Halpim) said on Monday.

The PMI was over the 50-point threshold, signaling expansion in the manufacturing sector.

Among the PMI sub-indices, the new orders index fell 1.7 percentage points but continued to show growth.

The production volume index inched up 0.5 percentage points and indicated expansion. The employment index rose 2.2 percentage points and was over the 50-point threshold.

The delivery times index increased 2.4 percentage points but remained below the 50-point mark. The gauge of purchased inventories slipped 0.8 percentage points but still showed growth.
