Three new halls will be built and infrastructure improvements will be carried out in the industrial park in Szekszárd, south central Hungary, with the support of the HUF 2.8 billion Operational Program for Regional and Urban Development, the town’s municipality told MTI.
The construction of the 2,423, 1,122 and 445 square-meter halls will start in November.
As part of the project, E.on Hungária Plc. will double the capacity of the current 3 megawatts of the electricity grid in the 50-hectare park in the first quarter of 2023. In addition, a street lighting network, a security camera system and about 1.5 kilometers of pavement will be built along the internal road network.
SZ+C Építőipari [Construction Industry] Ltd. of Szekszárd and Délviv Dél-Magyarországi Villanyszerelőipari [Electricity Industry of Southern Hungary] Ltd. of Pécs are currently working on the renovation of the existing halls and the construction of the street lighting and camera system. The new halls will be built by three local companies from the area.
The facilities will be handed over at the end of the first half of 2023, and the lease will be put out to tender, with the bidding process starting in 2023, it was announced.
Currently, 27 companies operate in the industrial park, including Austrotherm Ltd., a manufacturer and trader of building materials, Murexin Ltd., Alisca Agrárház [Agrarian House] 2010 Ltd., a distributor of agricultural products and pesticides, Mészáros Borház [Winehouse] Ltd., a wine producer, and Jako Fémárugyár Ltd., a manufacturer of metal products.
