Trimetrik Ltd., a manufacturer of injection-moulded plastic parts for railway and road vehicles, has built its central production plant in Székesfehérvár with a budget of more than HUF 2 billion, the Székesfehérvár municipality told MTI.
The more than 6,000-square-meter plant was built in the Alba Industrial Zone thanks to the Hungarian Multi Program with the help of HUF 857.43 million in EU and national funding.
The 75-employee, domestically-owned Trimetrik Ltd. has more than 25 years of experience in plastic injection moulding and tooling and has become one of the leading innovative players in the Hungarian market.
The company moved to Székesfehérvár in 2009 and by 2021 it had become clear that if it wanted to increase its share of the domestic and international market and enter industries where the technical knowledge and product innovation experience of its professionals would add significant value, it would need to expand its existing site.
The aim of the project is to create and R&D new, competitive plastic railway components for the automotive industry within the M2P (metal-to-plastic) project, which will provide significant added value for international automotive customers.
The production hall is carbon neutral thanks to solar panels and heat pump systems, and is equipped with 23 injection moulding machines and state-of-the-art plastic CNC lathes. The majority of the robots are purely electric and enable a much more precise injection moulding process.
The Székesfehérvár-based company's main customers are renowned multinational companies such as Knorr Bremse Group and Emerson.
