KNAPP Hungary Ltd., a company manufacturing equipment for warehouse automation, has established a production plant with a EUR 16.7 million investment in Nemesvámos, north of Lake Balaton. The inauguration ceremony took place at the site where 250 new jobs will be created by the end of 2022.
Having a tradition of seventy years, Austrian KNAPP offers its clientele intelligent automated solutions globally at 53 locations, including China, the Middle-East, South Africa, Australia, America and Europe, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency reports.
Its products are sold in healthcare, fashion, commerce, e-commerce and omnichannel retail as well as food retail.
The project in Nemesvámos was announced in July 2021. The assembly of roller conveyors with automated logistics systems integration capability was successfully launched in early 2022 at the new site as part of the brownfield investment of the Group.
