In their 2021 financial year, Intersnack Hungary Ltd. produced 10,600 tons of products for foreign markets, the company informed the state news agency MTI on Saturday.
According to the statement, the market share of the flour-based products made in Győr in the Central and Eastern European region is 11%, which gives Intersnack a leading position in the regional market for salted pretzels, pretzels and crackers.
Intersnack Hungary Ltd., which operates a factory celebrating its 30th anniversary, is part of the Intersnack Group in Germany. The group operates nearly forty production plants worldwide with different production profiles and regional markets.

The statement quotes Dénes Lukács, director of Intersnack's Hungarian business, as saying that HUF 2.5 billion was spent on the factory's development in 2020, last year and this year. Among the investments is the construction of a second cracker line, which is currently undergoing a trial run.
