The German-owned Knaus Tabbert Ltd. has implemented an investment aimed at increasing its production capacity, as part of which it purchased a 25-hectare site in Horpács.
One of Europe’s leading caravan and motorhome manufacturers, Knaus Tabbert, has been present in Hungary since 1993. In addition to manufacturing, its Hungarian operations also play an important role within the group as a supplier of components to its production units in Germany.
A logistics center strengthening operations and competitiveness has been established on the newly acquired site. Thanks to the capacity expansion, the Hungarian plant is now also capable of manufacturing the full product range.
The investment is worth EUR 5.25 million and promises the creation of 50 new jobs. The Hungarian state supports the project with about 10% of the costs. In addition to the development, special attention was also given to the professional training of employees so that the company can remain competitive even in a more challenging European economic environment.
