Kontron Electronics Ltd., the Hungarian subsidiary of the Kontron Group, a world leader in communication between machines operating in industrial environments, is implementing a capacity expansion investment in the southern Hungarian city of Pécs.
Kontron Electronics Ltd. has been present in Hungary since 1991. In addition to its manufacturing activities, the company provides an integrated service chain covering the entire electronic product life cycle. The production lines in Pécs and Tab have a capacity of more than 1.8 million units per year.
The aim of the EUR 5 million investment is to expand production capacity at the Pécs plant, enabling the Kontron Group to relocate its medical technology, aerospace and robotics production from China to Hungary. The project includes the purchase of two new production lines and the installation of solar panel systems, and it is expected contribute to the creation of 30 new jobs.
