The board of the Hungarian telecommunications company Magyar Telekom will propose to shareholders payment of a HUF 154-per-share dividend at an annual general meeting on April 8, the company said on the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) late on Tuesday.
Magyar Telekom said its board proposes payment of a HUF 136.4 billion dividend fund on 2025 earnings. Additionally, the board envisages a share buyback of up to HUF 50.0 billion.
According to the management report included in the proposals, Magyar Telekom’s revenue in 2025 was HUF 983.9 billion, an increase of 1.7% compared to 2024. Adjusted net income rose by 27.5% to HUF 207.4 billion last year
The company paid HUF 90.9 billon dividend on 2024 earnings.
Magyar Telekom is a premium-category issuer on the Budapest Stock Exchange; its shares rose by HUF 10 on Tuesday to HUF 2,050. The telecommunications stock has traded between HUF 1,332 and HUF 2,245 over the past year.
