Swiss-owned MAM-Hungária Ltd., which makes bottles and pacifiers for infants, is undertaking a HUF 4.5 billion capacity expansion at its base in Vaskeresztes (W Hungary).
Since 1990, the factory in Vaskeresztes has been producing baby pacifiers, bottles, cups and oral care products, significantly contributing to the region’s economic development. Products manufactured in Hungary reach more than 50 countries, with a strong presence in the United States, Europe and the Far East, thereby enhancing the international footprint of the company.
The investment, close to 20% of which is covered by Hungarian taxpayers through state support, includes the construction of new facilities, allowing for the expansion of existing product lines as well as the production of new, higher value-added products.
MAM-Hungária Kft. has long been committed to increasing energy efficiency and reducing CO₂ emissions. With this investment, new solar panels, heat pumps, and electricity storage systems will further green its operations.
In 2019, the company received an EU Product Safety Award. Its products combine functionality, design, and a high level of safety, keeping the needs of mothers and babies in mind.
The factory in Vas County provides long-term employment for over 500 people, supporting regional employment. The company also participates in a dual mechanical engineering program with ELTE Savaria University Center, strengthening both high-quality manufacturing and its competitiveness.
