Mercedes-Benz increases capacity in Kecskemét

Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has announced a HUF 185 billion (some EUR 595 mn) worth of investment at its Hungarian plant in Kecskemét. This amount already includes the EUR 250 mn to be spent on a new bodywork unit there.

Mercedes-Benz will invest a total of EUR 580 million in Hungary, of which EUR 250 million will be spent on a new bodywork unit (in line with a previous communication) and another EUR 330 mn on technological developments and preparations for the production of new compact car models. It is not public which model or models these will be, portfolio.hu reports.
