Automotive supplier Modine Hungária Gépjárműtechnikai (‘Automotive’) Ltd. responds to pandemic-induced challenges by expanding operations with an investment of nearly EUR 5.2 million in Gyöngyös and Mezőkövesd, both in eastern Hungary by using state subsidy (amounting to close to a quarter of the invested amount) to improve competitiveness.
Modine Hungária Gépjárműtechnikai Ltd., which produces fridges and heat exchangers for agriculture, construction and transportation, has got as far as the inauguration phase of their investment since the ceremony of their brand-new storage facility of 3,500 square meters has taken place at their site in Gyöngyös.
Zsolt Nyári, Managing Director of Modine Hungária Ltd., called the handover of the warehouse a milestone and explained that until now, they had to use an external service provider for storage, which is what the now completed investment is intended to solve. He said the project is also a cornerstone for the future of the Gyöngyös site, which is expected to deliver a turnover increase of almost 50% from the next financial year onwards.
In addition to the construction of the warehouse base, which has a capacity of 3,500 pallets of goods and an additional 1,700 square meters of service space, the company's development package also includes the purchase of machinery at both sites.
