MVM Energy Private Limited Liability Company has informed the market participants on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange about an agreement on the takeover of E.ON’s Romania unit.
The announcement states that E.ON Group and MVM Group have reached an agreement on the sale of E.ON’s retail and customer solutions business in Romania. Under the agreement, MVM Group will acquire E.ON’s 68% stake in E.ON Energie Romania as well its 98% stake in E.ON Asist Complet.
E.ON Energie Romania is one of the largest gas and electricity suppliers in Romania, with a portfolio of around 3.4 million customers. E.ON Asist Complet is a regional service company providing services such as hardware installation and maintenance.
The completion of the transaction is conditional on obtaining necessary approvals from the competent authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction value.
