The EUR 1.9 million investment, implemented under the Factory Rescue Program, was officially handed over in Herend. During the project, several upgrades were carried out, including the installation of a new solar power plant, refurbishment of the firing kilns, execution of ceiling insulation, replacement of steam boilers, and modernization of the windows and doors. Thanks to the solar power plant, the factory now partially meets its electricity needs from renewable sources, achieving a daily gas savings of 100 m³.
The investment not only strengthens sustainability but also significantly enhances the company’s international competitiveness. Herendi porcelain – 'white gold' – is recognized as an outstanding brand in the luxury goods market worldwide, reflecting the commitment to traditional craftsmanship in every single piece.
Herendi Porcelain Manufactory Plc. places great importance on preserving and passing on traditional values. It operates its own school, offering three specialized practical training programs in the ‘Ceramic and Porcelain Maker’ profession to young professionals, ensuring the future of the craft.
