The new factory building of Chemark Plc., a pesticide manufacturer, was inaugurated this Friday in the Peremarton Industrial Park. About a quarter of the investment is paid for by Hungarian taxpayers through a government decision.
The EUR 13 million development will increase production capacity by 10 million liters per year, bringing Chemark Plc. to 65-67 million liters per year, making it one of Europe's largest pesticide factories, the company's CEO, Ervin Tégi, pointed out in his inaugural speech.
According to the CEO, Chemark Plc. has grown dynamically since 2020, with annual production increasing from 42,000 to 57,000 tons. During the same period, the number of employees increased from 310 to 400.
Last year, the company's revenue was HUF 20 billion and its profit after tax was HUF 2.9 billion. This year's expected revenue is over HUF 25 billion, with a profit after tax of over HUF 3 billion.
Chemark Plc.'s main partners are Syngenta and Sumitomo Chemicals Agro Euro.
