Japanese companies are introducing new production technologies in Biatorbágy, Székesfehérvár and Esztergom. They invest a total of HUF 4.5 billion to which the Hungarian government adds HUF 2 billion of public funding.
Alpine European Electronics Industry Ltd. in Biatorbágy, Denso Manufacturing Hungary in Székesfehérvár and Diamond Electric Hungary Ltd. in Esztergom (all in western Hungary) are introducing new production technology, increasing the supplier capacities available to the Hungarian automotive industry.
Currently, 180 Japanese companies employ more than 30,000 people in Hungary, with Japan being the second most important investor in this country from the Far East.
