New Managing Director at the Rácalmás Plant of Hankook

Ho Taek Lim, as an experienced manager with many years of experience, took over as Managing Director of the Hankook Tire factory in Rácalmás. He was appointed to the position from December 1, 2024, after the retirement of Hyung Yun Kim, the company has announced.

“Having already worked here at the site in the past, I am honoroud now able to take on a new position. As Managing Director, I will use my experience of almost three decades to continue the development of production in the Rácalmás plant and thus continue to provide our customers with high quality, reliable tires. This constant focus on quality is key to all aspects of our working and production processes. As I have done throughout my career, I want to focus on this as the Managing Director of the Hungarian factory. I am confident that all my colleagues will be partners in this mission," the newly appointed Managing Director of Hankook Tire's plant in Rácalmás, central Hungary, Ho Taek Lim said.

The company's information release highlights that Ho Taek Lim joined Hankook Tire in 1995. He started his career at the company's R&D center in Korea, where he worked on the development of various tire compounds in the truck and bus tire area. His first international assignment came in 2005 in Hankook's Istanbul office, where he trained and assisted the company's staff and customers on technical and quality issues.

During his time with the Technical Service Team at Hankook's European Headquarters in Neu-Isenburg, he was involved in the implementation of the quality system at the Rácalmás factory in 2008. From that time, he has held various technology and quality-related management positions in the company’s European Headquarters, continuously growing in expertise. In 2018, he was appointed Head of the Quality Management Team at the Seoul Global Headquarters, and from 2019 to 2020, he worked as Director of the Corporate Innovation Division. From 2020 onwards, he holds the position of Vice President, first in Seoul and then in Deajeon operations. He returned to Hungary in the end 2023 as Head of Manufacturing Department in the Rácalmás plant, and took over as Managing Director from December 1, 2024.
