Doktor24 Medicina Plc. announced in a statement published on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange on Wednesday that the company's general meeting decided on a private share capital increase. Following the capital increase, a new investment company, Egészségügyi Befektetési Holding, owned by the Futó family, became the new majority shareholder.
As the financial news portal portfolio.hu notes, it seems that – from the ownership point of view – a new chapter is beginning at the 4th largest private clinic in Hungary based on the 2022 revenue ranking.
According to the information published on the stock exchange's website, following the capital increase, the share capital of Doktor24 Medicina Plc. will rise by HUF 198.7 million to HUF 424.7 million. This was decided at the company's general meeting on October 17. The brief information also revealed that the capital increase will be implemented by Egészségügyi Befektetési Holding Ltd.
After the capital increase, this new shareholder will hold 51.46% of the company's shares.
This company is a stakeholder of the Finext III Private Equity Fund, which in turn is a stakeholder of the Futó family through Futureal Development Holding. Futureal has a 73.9% stake in Finext Asset Management Plc. and is 100% owner of the Finext Partners One, Two and Three funds.
