Euro-Unior Fűtéstechnika [Heating Technololgy] Ltd. of Orosháza, which is mainly engaged in boiler production, is building a new 500-square-meter production hall and acquiring new machinery with HUF 200 million, the company's managing director, Géza Szabó Jr. informed the state news agency MTI on Wednesday morning.
The managing director said that the company won a grant of HUF 125,300,000 from the EU's Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program (Ginop), with a 70% subsidy intensity, and the remaining amount will be financed from its own resources.
The money will be used to build a 500-square-meter production hall next to the current one, which will expand the plant to 1,000 square meters. Construction has just started and is scheduled to be completed by the end of March.
In addition, two machines have been purchased and are being tested: a Japanese welding robot to help with the production of large numbers of small parts, and a laser-cutting sheet-metal working machine to make parts that were previously bought in ready-made.
The company’s main profile is boiler production, with around a thousand of the larger, 50-kilowatt machines produced annually, and around the same number of smaller machines. In addition, their own product is a mixed-fuel boiler, production of which is expected to be ramped up now due to the rise in gas prices. The latter is intended mainly for the domestic market.
