The logo of the Hungarian meat processing company Pick will be displayed on the race cars of the McLaren Mercedes team during this year's Formula-1 Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring on August 1, thanks to the team’s main sponsor Vodafone.
Mobile services company Vodafone, the main sponsor of the Formula-1 team, leaders in the individual as well as the constructor’s race in this year’s world championship, makes it possible for the logo of a Hungarian company to be displayed during this year's Formula-1 Hungarian Grand Prix.
According to the agreement signed by György Beck, the CEO of Vodafone Hungary and Sándor Csányi, the founder of the Bonafarm group, the emblem of the food processing company Pick, a member of the latter group, will be placed beside the pilots' helmet, on the frame.
The deal by the 141-year old company, most famous for its salami products, is not the first Hungarian firm to sign a Formula-1 sponsorship agreement. The energy drink manufacturer Hell came to an agreement with the Williams team in May last year.
The 2010 Hungarian Grand Prix takes place at the Hungaroring Circuit east of Budapest on August 1.
