Ariston Thermo Group, which manufactures and sells thermal engineering products, achieved record revenue of EUR 1.71 billion in the 2019 fiscal year, up 6.1% from 2018, the company told the Hungarian news agency MTI.
72% of the group’s revenue last year came from renewable and high-efficiency solutions. Paolo Merloni, Chairman of the Board of Ariston Thermo, highlighted in the statement that their R&D investments and innovative market development strategies in recent years have delivered the expected results. Reinforcing this trend, in 2019, 40% more was invested in the renewable products sector compared to 2018, which is mainly concentrated in Italy.
Founded 90 years ago, the Italian Ariston Thermo Group is present in more than 150 countries, employs 7,500 people and sells more than 8 million products annually.
In Hungary, Ariston Thermo established its trading company in 1998, and has been a key player in the domestic market of boilers, electric water heaters and heating systems and heat pumps using renewable energy ever since.
Gábor Pavek, Managing Director of Ariston Thermo Hungária Ltd. reported in the announcement that all Ariston's business units were able to grow last year. The company expects to be able to maintain its market position in each of its business lines this year. Sales of heat pumps are expected to grow significantly.
