Gedeon Richter Plc. has announced on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange that its Brazilian affiliate Gedeon Richter do Brasil Importadora Exportadora e Distribuidora SA signed an agreement with Grünenthal do Brasil Farmaceutica Ltda on the commercialization of the latter‘s Women’s Healthcare portfolio.
The portfolio includes oral contraceptives Belara and Belarina and food supplements used in pregnancy and lactation.
The parties committed to cooperate in providing the necessary technical and commercial support to continue making the products available to Brazilian women utilizing Richter Brazil’s expertise and dedicated team and building on the excellent quality and strong brand heritage of the products.
Erik Bogsch, Chairman of Richter, pointed out that he was “convinced that this agreement marks another step on the way of becoming a global player in the Women’s Healthcare space. Richter remains committed to expand its WHC portfolio through organic and inorganic sources in numerous regions of the globe, including Latin America.”
