Skanska, one of the leading development and construction companies in Europe. invests about EUR 65 M in the first phase of the new office complex H2Offices located in the Hungarian capital.
The project will offer a total leasable area of about 26 000 square meters. Designed to obtain WELL and LEED certifications, the project stands out for its sustainable solutions, enhancing connection with nature and applying intelligent innovative functions, the company's statement says.
Skanska started the development of H2Offices futureproof office complex, which is the company’s tenth project in Hungary. Located on the former site of Budapest Waterworks and building on this heritage, H2Offices will offer green environment at one of the busiest points of Budapest. The complex will consist of three buildings with a total leasable area of 65,000 sqm. The first building comprises eight floors above the ground and three underground parking levels. Situated in the 13th district of Budapest at the junction of Váci and Dózsa György roads, in the heart of Váci Corridor, the new project offers excellent location in direct vicinity to a public transportation hub and is in 5 minutes car ride from the city center and great visibility for our occupiers.
Connection to nature and environmental consciousness are at the core of the concept. Designed by Arrow Architects from Denmark, the development will offer a mix of futureproof urban infrastructure, sustainable and innovative solutions as well as a landscaped placemaking which will be conceptually connected in with the heritage of the plot. The large multipurpose garden with a water feature will be open to the public, offering a variety of recreational experience, in the meantime serving as a meeting hub and a place for community life as well.

The uniqueness of the building is emphasized by the playful façade, the transparency of the structures on the ground floor creates a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor, turning the courtyard into a dynamic outdoor space. The spacious double height lobby will be designed in harmony with Skanska’s Scandinavian roots. An emphasis will be placed on forming recreational spaces supporting health and wellbeing of the occupiers, such as a rooftop running track with a view over the city, green urban terraces and an elevated walkway.
Bicycle storage, lockers and showers will be available for those arriving by bike, and electric car chargers will be provided for electric car users. The complex will house retail units and other amenities for convenience of building users and residents of the surrounding area. H2Offices will be an integral part of the city and area, allowing free flow of inhabitants.
