Solar FM Ltd. will produce a rotating support structure for solar panels. The company has won a HUF 1.5 billion grant for the almost HUF 3 billion investment in Komló, S Hungary, under the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program (Ginop) Plus, which uses EU funding.
According to the information provided to MTI by the company, which is engaged in the construction of solar panel systems, the aim of the investment is to launch new manufacturing activities at Solar FM's site in Komló. The project will include the renovation of the company's 2,433-square-meter production hall, the purchase and installation of the technological and IT equipment necessary for the activity, and the installation of a renewable energy heat pump system for economical and environmentally friendly operation.
The company has relevant experience in the green economy and the planned investment will bring a significant expansion of services and portfolio. The new rotating support structures form an integrated system, which means greater added value, the company said.
As a result of the investment, the company's competitiveness will be improved and new jobs related to the green economy will be created in the region. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023, they said.
According to public company data, Solar FM Ltd. achieved net sales of HUF 716.4 million and a net profit after tax of HUF 165.6 million in 2021, compared to HUF 836.9 million and HUF 440.9 million in 2020.
