University of Szeged and ContiTech: R&D Cooperation

The University of Szeged (SZTE), located in SE Hungarian city of Szeged, signed a cooperation agreement with ContiTech Fluid Automotive Hungária Ltd. and ContiTech Rubber Industrial Ltd. this Monday. The aim of the cooperation is for the participants to mutually assist each other in their innovation and education activities, as well as to launch joint research and development projects.

According to a statement sent to MTI, Szeged-based ContiTech Rubber Industrial Ltd. is the largest textile-reinforced belt factory of the technology company Continental in Europe, and also has extensive development and manufacturing activities in the field of special oil industry and marine hoses. They would like to work with SZTE on joint research and development projects in areas such as material testing, automation, process development, increasing efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

As part of the planned educational cooperation, the plant will host students for professional practice, and the university will ensure the announcement of scientific student club topics, the announcement of thesis topics and topic guidance. Joint applications for calls for proposals from the European Union and other organizations will also be part of the cooperation.

The university has also strengthened its cooperation with ContiTech Fluid Automotive Hungária Ltd. in nearby Makó, which will be implemented in the future in the areas of research and development and education, as well as joint participation in applications. The partnership extends from basic research to applied developments, from the professional introduction of students to innovation cooperation - they announced.

Many organizational and operational developments have taken place at the University of Szeged in recent years, which serve the purpose of making them as easily accessible as possible to market players, they added.
