First-half consolidated revenue, in 2025, of Vajda-Papír, Hungary's biggest maker of hygienic paper products, rose to HUF 38 billion from HUF 34 billion in the base period, the company told MTI on Friday.
Pre-tax profit climbed to HUF 3.7 billion from HUF 3.2 billion.
Vajda-Papír's stable, long-term competitive business model has enabled it to grow stronger and further increase its profitability despite the challenges of the international economic environment, said founder and managing director Attila Vajda.
The volume of sold products increased by 16% on the domestic market and export sales volume was up by 34% in H1.
The company said it will continue to increase production, expand exports and implement sustainability investments throughout the rest of the year. The company aims to exceed last year's sales, while also increasing EBITDA.
Vajda-Papír exports its products to more than 30 countries.
