Last year, the WING Group, that is, WING Hungary, Bauwert AG and ECHO Investment together, successfully closed property sales worth almost EUR 300 million, one of Central Europe's leading property development and investment groups told MTI on Tuesday.
The group sold three office buildings in three countries worth more than EUR 200 million and a residential complex in Germany. It also sold more than 2,500 apartments in Hungary, Germany and Poland, further strengthening its financial position.
In a statement, Noah Steinberg, Chairman and CEO of WING and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ECHO Investment and BAUWERT, said that “the focus of WING's strategy is currently on the development of residential and related real estate. This is the basis for their long-term growth in all three countries, as demonstrated by the significant results achieved in 2024.”
“Their presence in the commercial real estate market, including offices, industrial, hotels and retail, complements their residential real estate activities and provides long-term, sustainable projects for their tenants and stable, predictable results for their investors and partners," he added.
To grow, the group will continue to optimize its portfolio in 2025, seek new financing opportunities and build on strategic partnerships, the statement said. With a focus on expansion and financial stability, the company aims to further strengthen its long-term value creation and market position.
WING is one of the leading privately owned development and investment groups in the Central European real estate market, with significant market shares in Germany, Poland and Hungary. WING is majority owned by ECHO Investment, one of the largest real estate developers in Poland, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, and Bauwert, one of the leading German residential and commercial property developers. At the same time, WING is one of the leading developers and investors in the Hungarian real estate market. WING has a total developed portfolio of 5.5 million sqm in Germany, Poland and Hungary.
Founded in 1999, WING is active in all segments of the Hungarian real estate market: in addition to office projects, its portfolio includes industrial, retail, hotel and residential properties. WING has invested almost HUF 750 billion in real estate development in Hungary, covering approximately 1.35 million square meters of real estate.
