Zwack Sales and Profit Up in the 2024/2025 Financial Year

Zwack Unicum Plc. achieved gross sales of HUF 38.788 billion in the 2024/2025 financial year between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025, which is HUF 1.850 billion, 5% higher than in the previous financial year, while its annual result increased by 2.9% to HUF 2.9 billion, the company announced on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday.

According to the information, the gross revenue includes the revenue from the DRS (mandatory deposit system) fee introduced on January 1, 2024, which amounted to HUF 456 million in the financial year just ended.

Net sales, i.e. sales excluding excise duty and DRS deposit fee, amounted to HUF 24.05 billion in the 2024/2025 financial year, which is 6.9% higher than in the base period, at HUF 1.56 billion.

Net sales of domestic products were HUF 1.09 billion, 5.7% higher than in the previous financial year. Net sales of own-produced products on the domestic market increased by HUF 1.06 billion, or 7.6%, with sales of premium products up 10.4% and sales of quality products remaining at the same level.

The turnover of products sold for export amounted to HUF 2.53 billion, an increase of 15.2% compared to the base period. In the financial year, sales figures in the focus countries of Italy, Germany, Romania and Slovakia significantly exceeded the base, the release said.

The report added that domestically, Zwack Unicum Plc's primary objective is to maintain its market leadership in the distilled spirits market. They also want to strengthen their export markets. Product innovation and successful product launches are the most important means to maintain and strengthen their market leadership.

The objective for export activities is to increase the share of turnover from product sales from the current 11% to 15% in the next three years.
