The Magic Lamp Foundation, which has been granting wishes to sick children for 16 years, held its Charity Night for the third time this past weekend. This year, the event attracting about 300 people, was hosted by the Corinthia Hotel Budapest.
The staff of the Foundation prepared several surprises for this Miracle Day. The often serious and touching stories were spiced up with fun programs, so there were magic tricks that the audience could learn some of. On the stage, the cured ‘magic lamp’ children told about their wishes that had been fulfilled many years ago, their wonderful experiences at that time. Afterwards, a six-year-old boy was given a bike while an eight-year-old boy received a tablet that can also be used for reading kid’s stories.
The evening was hosted by entertainer and advertising expert Péter Geszti with music provided by 'Garami Funky Staff'. The show also featured singers Vera Tóth and Mónika Nika Veres and the audience danced to pleasant music until dawn. With their donations, the participants of the evening contributed to the Magic Lamp Foundation being able to make the dreams of several hundred sick children come true next year, as well.
