Athletes returning home from the Paris Olympics were surprised with a never-before-seen, limited edition, special golden Túró Rudi (chocolate-coated curd chese bar). The "Hajrá Magyarok! Trikolór Túró Rudi" ['Go Hungarians! Tricolor Túró Rudi'] was presented in gold packaging and a special gift box by Wizz Air flight attendants to Hungarian Olympians on board the 'golden plane' carrying the Olympic team home .
During the Olympics, all sports fans could get a taste of cheering with the new 'Hajrá Hungarians! Trikolór Pöttyös ['Dotted'] Túró Rudi'. But the success of the Hungarian Olympians was celebrated with an even more special product in gold packaging on board the plane home from Paris. The gold packaged Trikolór Rudi is a tribute to those who represented Hungary at the Olympic Games - a privilege of the delegation of athletes, as the Trikolór Túró Rudi, a summer favorite, is not available in this packaging.
For eight years, the Hungarian Olympic Committee and FrieslandCampina Hungária (the producer of the special brand chocolate-coated curd cheese bar) have been working together to bring Hungary's hugely popular brand closer to the fans of Hungarian Olympians who proudly represented the country at the Paris Games. In previous years, only the most important element of the packaging, the Pöttyös brand logo, was replaced by the "Hajrá Magyarok!" (Go Hungarians!) sign, but this year the content was also renewed: a lemon-flavored filling and a red coating paste were used to create the Trikolór Pöttyös.
All Hungarians cheered for the success of our Olympians as one. Hungarian athletes won 6 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals, and there were many memorable, brilliant results in the two-week event. And the taste of success replaced the taste of cheering, as Hungarian Olympians celebrated their success with a limited edition golden Túró Rudi on the golden plane on the way home.
"As supporters of the Hungarian Olympic Committee, we are proud of our athletes, who represented Hungary at the Olympic Games after a lot of hard work, sacrifice and dedication. We are proud that FrieslandCampina Hungária was able to join this unique experience not only with the Trikolór Pöttyös, but also with the fan cards, which have been renewed in digital form to bring our Olympians closer to the sports-loving public", Ferenc Szecskó, CEO of FrieslandCampina Hungária, the producer of Pöttyös Túró Rudi, said.
