The Hungarian Press Photo Competition and Exhibition has been the largest Hungarian review for the photojournalist profession for more than thirty years. This year’s winning works of 2020 photos were selected by the jury from 2,515 entries.
Not surprisingly, the most covered theme in 2020 was the new coronavirus pandemic.
In the 'News, event photo' category, the 1st prize was awarded to Róbert Hegedűs for his picture 'Helping hand'.
The winner of the 'image report' category is Zoltán Balogh for his photo '19 years of COVID in Hungary'

Art (series): Lili Anna Chripkó for 'Ballet students in distance learning'
Sports (single): Bernadett Szabó for 'Free kick'
Sports (series): Péter Szalmás for 'Quarantine training'
Nature and science (single): Ferenc Lőrincz, Jr. for 'The whale and the people'
Nature and Science (series): Milán Radisics for 'With torches against the frost'
Social representation, documentary photography (single): Ákos Stiller for 'Waiting for a test'
Representation of society, documentary photography (series): Zsófi Sivák 'Our prices are in HUF'
