The statue of world-renowned Hungarian natural scientist, physicist, politician and academic Loránd Eötvös was inaugurated this Tuesday in the Gesztenyés Garden in the Hungarian capital.
The sculpture, by Kossuth Prize-winning sculptor Tibor Rieger, was to have been unveiled in November last year to mark the end of the Eötvös Loránd Memorial Year, but due to the epidemic situation the ceremony was been postponed.
