Nostalgia Railway Week-End at Lake Balaton

The highly successful event of recent years returns to the northern shore of Lake Balaton. The 1960s and ’70s are also evoked by several locomotives and carriages of the color of the era, which can only be found on this line.

As a novelty this year, a steam locomotive will also be present, and in addition to the previously known dark blue high-speed train, a green passenger train will also be introduced, a statement by MÁV Hungarian Railways says.

The railroad developments between Székesfehérvár and Balatonfüred – especially the electrification – will significantly change the image of the line in the coming years, so, in many places there will be even unique travel and photography opportunities for the participants.
