Adriana Gonzalez, soprano of the Paris Opera and Stefan Pop sang an Italian tenor duet at The Voices! concert in Győr, NW Hungary on Saturday evening. The open-air event featured artists from the new generation of opera stars.
Soprano Adriana Gonzalez, the first prize winner singer of Plácido Domingo’s Operalia Opera World Competition 2019 performed in Hungary for the first time. The artist is considered to be one of the most significant sopranos of her age, who has conquered audiences at the Zurich Opera and the Royal Opera in Madrid in recent years.
The audience could also see and hear again the celebrated star of Italian music stages, tenor Stefan Pop, who is one of the most sought after singers today. The young artist is a regular guest at Angela Gheorghiu’s concerts, among others, and in 2019, he sang the tenor starring roles in “The Two Foscari” and “Bohemian Life” productions at the opening nights of the Verdi and Puccini Festivals in Italy.
